Looking up!

  • Completed forms; Check (kind of)
  • Bacteria found; Check
  • Honey short-listed; check

After the last few weeks stressing about what bacteria to use, can I use it, what exactly do I have to put on my requirements list it’s finally done! With the exception of microbiology training next week most of the work is all on me now. I can finally write a more in depth intro with literature review now I know what bacteria i’m using which will hopefully be today.

Let the lab work commence….

Getting there….slowly…

So after searching countless online honey shops and honey types I have finally listed all of the honey types I want to test. The problem comes when I realise I have to narrow it down.

Either way i’m dedicating my whole day to narrowing down my bacteria strain and finding somewhere that stocks it! I’m still unsure of the method i’m going to use but based on research I have read the agar well diffusion seems to be the most popular.

This is probably the most positive i’ve felt about my project to date! hope it lasts until the end of the day, once i’ve sorted my bacteria! Here’s hoping…

Teething problems…

So it’s not as easy to narrow down all of my ideas as I thought. I have been switching bacteria strains and now have lost a little bit of my original direction! Hopefully after researching bacterial plant diseases I am back on track, fingers crossed!

Anyway not much to talk about currently, much to my frustration, hopefully my new idea is my last and then off to the lab I go…
